Thrive DC is governed by an active Board of Directors, undergoes annual audits and has been recognized for its effectiveness by numerous independent organizations. The Washington Area Women’s Foundation selected Thrive DC for its Leadership Award in 2010 for offering innovative and life-changing services and the Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington has selected Thrive DC as “One of the Best” nonprofits in the region. We maintain low overhead, utilize a large volunteer base and strategically deploy our small, hard-working staff. As a result, more than 87 cents of every dollar donated to Thrive DC goes directly to providing critical services to homeless and vulnerable men, women and children.
