We are delighted to announce our 2012 Help the Homeless Campaign and share with you all the wonderful new ways that you can get involved! We invite you to join us and our community of supporters this summer and fall as we spread awareness and raise funds for our programs to end homelessness and hunger in Washington, DC!
As a non-profit organization participating in the Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Program we will raise awareness about homelessness and increase resources for the most vulnerable men, women, and children in the Washington metropolitan area. Thrive DC has been honored to participate in this wonderful program for many years and we know that with your help we can make 2012 our best year yet!
This year there are many new ways you can get involved. We would love to work with you, your business, school, faith community, youth group, or club – or share your ideas for partnership with us! More than 1,200 individuals joined us in the 2011 Help the Homeless Walkathon. We were proud to count on support from DC public schools, local clubs and organizations, and several local colleges and universities. Together, we raised over $35,000 for Thrive DC through registrations, donations, and matching grants from Fannie Mae! We know we can count on you to make this year our best campaign yet and hope that you can join us in one of our many community events this year.
