Passionate about our mission and reach beyond our next step team? Become a member of the New Start Society by making an annual unrestricted contribution of $1,000 (or just $83 per month) or more. You’ll receive quarterly updates and special invitations to events. Most of all, you’ll have a big impact on the people who seek our services every day.

Give Offline

Does your employer match your philanthropic efforts? If you’re not sure, many businesses are now matching their employees’ donations & volunteering with matching financial gift. Ask your supervisor if your place of work will match your support of Thrive DC!

Thrive DC is also part of the United Way of the National Capital Area (designation #8280) and the Combined Federal Campaign (#56398), and the World Bank Community Connections Campaign.

Make a gift of stock! Giving stock is easy and can provide significant tax benefits to you. To receive instructions on how to donate stock, contact [email protected].

Involve your Friends

Trow a party to benefit our client community! Whether it’s your birthday, anniversary, bar or bat mitzvah, or for no reason at all, invite your friends to give to Thrive DC instead of bringing gifts. Contact Daniel at [email protected] to learn more.

Social media savvy and want to make an impact online? Start an online or Facebook fundraiser. Whether it be a Facebook birthday fundraiser or you want to raise money in honor of someone, social media makes it easier than ever to give back while staying plugged in! For graphics to use on social media for your fundraiser or other media related inquires, email [email protected]

Leave a Lasting Legacy

You can help the people we serve for many generations to come by designating Thrive DC in your will or making a planned gift.

We suggest you consult with a financial adviser to determine what gift is best for you. To learn more about planned giving, or to let us know you’ve designated Thrive DC in your will, please contact Daniel at (202) 503-1523.

Volunteer

The comprehensive programs of support that Thrive DC provides, offers hope to our clients when they need it the most. We serve over 250 people each day, and couldn’t do it without thousands of volunteers each year dedicating their skills and time in support of our clients.

Register for a volunteer orientation to get started! Have questions? Contact us at [email protected]

Note: Thrive DC will NOT be open on Thanksgiving, Loaves & Fishes will be serving their annual Thanksgiving meal to our clients and community so they are well taken care of. We do encourage you to seek out other ways to volunteer in the community on that day.

Thrive DC is only open Monday – Friday. Unfortunately there are no volunteer opportunities over the weekend.

Join Thrive Allies: Young Professionals Supporting Thrive DC.

Thrive Allies is a diverse group of DC young professionals who seek to raise awareness and support for our fellow DC residents experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness.  We believe that through innovative programming, volunteering, and outreach, the group provides a way for emerging leaders in DC to create systemic change for those who are in need in our city.

Thrive Allies also works to connect like minded young professionals around the city to each other, creating a positive and supportive environment to grow and learn while building your leadership skills.
