Hot Meals & Groceries
BREAKFAST & LUNCH
Monday - Friday, Thursday: Take-Out Only | 8:30 AM -- 9:30 AM | Thrive DC Main Room
We offer in-person congregate meals on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday! Come in for hot breakfast and a chance to connect with your community. Note: we will not offer in-person meals on Thursday.

If you prefer grabbing a meal to-go, we will still offer breakfast and lunch to-go Monday-Friday outside our kitchen.
FOOD PANTRY 
Thursdays | 10:00 AM -- 1:00 PM | Thrive DC Main Room
We provide emergency groceries for clients every Thursday.

Showers & Laundry

SHOWERS
Men can sign-up to shower in the mornings; women can sign-up to shower in the afternoon. Toiletries and clean towels will be provided. By appointment only.
LAUNDRY
We provide clients access to laundry machines! Detergent will be provided. By appointment only.

Seasonal Clothing

CLOTHING FOR MEN & WOMEN
We provide seasonal clothing such as coats, shirts, socks, jeans, belts, shorts, etc. 

Note: As supplies are available.  

Mail

MAKE THRIVE DC YOUR TEMPORARY ADDRESS
We allow clients to use Thrive DC's address temporarily during their time of transition. 

Note: all uncollected mail will be discarded after three months. 

Hygiene & Feminine Supplies

HYGIENE SUPPLIES
We offer clients toiletry items such as: hand sanitizer, lip balm, hygienic wipes, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, bar soap, deodorant, and gloves.
FEMININE PRODUCTS
We offer women access to feminine products such as: bras, underwear, maxi pads, tampons, and hygienic wipes. 

ID Documents

ID DOCUMENTS
Thrive DC allows clients to use our office as an address when applying for a DC ID. If you are in need of a birth certificate or social security card, we will help direct you to other providers who can help you secure those documents.
GLASSES & PRESCRIPTIONS
We will do our best to assist you with getting necessary medical prescriptions or glasses. Just come into our office to discuss your options.

Substance Abuse & Mental Health Counseling
SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING

Breaking free from addiction is hard. We believe that every person, no matter their circumstances, should be treated with dignity and respect.  Thrive DC offers a low-barrier program designed to reach clients considering sobriety or working hard to sustain it. 

The program is divided into three basic parts: 
1. Educational Groups
2. Treatment Referral
3. Individual Counseling

Groups are open to all (not restricted by gender), and are accessible to both English and Spanish speakers.

Re-Entry Support

NEW DIRECTIONS RE-ENTRY PROGRAM
Tuesdays - Thursdays | Thrive DC Upper Room
Our New Directions Re-entry Program is designed to support people who have been recently incarcerated and/or released from jail or prison so they can have a successful transition. It consists of five components: 
1. Case Management
2. Basic Needs Assistance (meals, toiletries, clothing, etc)
3. Life Skills Education
4. Access to Sobriety Maintenance Assistance and Support
5. Employment Assistance

Our re-entry curriculum focuses on maintaining and developing life skills, getting back to work, and re-integrating with your family and community. Groups are interactive and include goal setting, listening and communication skills, healthy relationships, and “sustaining the change.”

Participants in New Directions receive the following benefits: Transportation Assistance, Small Stipend, Access to One of Two Training Programs: Customer Service Training And Certification, or Real Opportunity Job Training
C.H.A.N.G.E. PROGRAM
Tuesdays | 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM | Thrive DC Upper Room
Led by a returning citizen, the C.H.A.N.G.E program is eight weeks long and designed to bring awareness to individuals addicted to a Criminal Lifestyle. We utilize role plays, skits, poetry, quotes, topic-centered literature, small and large group participation, movie clips, music, and guest speakers as learning tools. Our goal is to foster a safe space learning environment geared around healthy dialogue and peer-to-peer support.

Employment Coaching

INDIVIDUAL CASE MANAGEMENT 
For individuals who need more support in finding employment, Thrive DC provides case managers that will tailor their approach to an individual’s need. 

Topics covered in case management can include: 
- Employment Goals and Expectations
- Effective Resume and Cover Letter Writing
- Interviewing Skills
- Workplace Communication
- Job Searching Techniques
- Financial Planning and Money Management
- Mock Interviews

Victim Services

INDIVIDUAL CASE MANAGEMENT
Wednesday - Friday | 11:00 AM -- 3:00 PM | Thrive DC Office
We offer victim services to our clients through support, referrals, and outside services if they have been a victim of a crime in the last 3 months from the day they share the event with us. This includes (but is not limited to): assault and battery, property damage, sexual assault, stalking, domestic violence, hate crime, harassment, theft, and other violent crime. Please visit our office to speak to a case manager.

Housing

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR RETURNING CITIZENS
We provide 5 male returning citizens with a safe place to live for up to 6 months. If you are interested, please have your current case manager or service provider reach out to Thrive DC for more information.
