Volunteer with your Group in DC!

Thrive DC┬áserves over 250 homeless and low-income clients a day – and we can only do that because of all the volunteers who offer up their time and service.

If you would like to volunteer with your group, we have two primary options:

Breakfast Program 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM

This opportunity is best for groups of 6 – 10 volunteers, high school age and above. Volunteers will have the chance to prepare and serve breakfast, pass out coffee to clients as they walk in the door, help coordinate shower and laundry schedules, and pass out toiletries.

Our breakfast program is our largest program, and offers a great chance for volunteers to meet and interact with clients. Many of our volunteers have appreciated the chance to have conversations and a real encounter with the homeless community of DC.

Dinner Program 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

This opportunity is best for groups of 3 – 8 volunteers, 1st grade – 8th grade. Our Dinner Program is reserved for women and their children, which makes this program more approachable for young students and their parents.

We work with several schools around the DC area to volunteer with our ladies after school. If you would like a safe space where your students can meet the real faces of homelessness, this is a great opportunity.
