Meet Our New Communications Coordinator, Anna Berrettini!

Thrive DC has welcomed a new member to the team, Anna Berrettini! She will be serving as our Communications Coordinator. Get to know more about her below!

Tell us a little about yourself

I was born in Baltimore, MD and went to college at James Madison University where I studied Media Arts and Design with a minor in Creative Writing. My professional experience has been in different marketing roles, and I've enjoyed video and podcast production in those positions!

What attracted you to Thrive?

The mission. I love how Thrive is hands-on and doing great work with their clients. Most of my experience has been in for-profit settings. and I wanted to learn how to translate my communication skills to raise visibility of a non-profit that is doing incredible work in the community.

What do you like about your role here?

I like the challenge of finding new and engaging ways to tell the story and mission of Thrive. I also enjoy that I get to work with clients and highlight their stories through all different types of media. It's really cool to see how much our staff cares about each of our clients.

What has been a powerful moment you've experienced since you started working here?

When I first joined, I was able to join our volunteers during our morning program and our Thursday food pantry. I was really amazed at the dedication of our volunteers and their positive spirit, and also got to witness our Real Opps program first-hand.

What's your favorite breakfast food?

Anything involving eggs. They're so versatile.
