Are you still wondering how you can help us to raise awareness and hold a fundraiser for our Help the Homeless Campaign? Last night the house staff of The George Washington University's Mount Vernon Campus held a pie toss for the homeless!
John has been working with Thrive DC since the fall semester of 2011 as a Service Learning Student and then as a Student Volunteer Leadership Intern. This year, as a House Staff team member at GWU, John has continued to support the mission of Thrive DC by working with the rest of the Mount Vernon Campus House staff and helping first year students to get involved in their community. If you've ever been curious about what a future leader looks like - this is it.
Thanks to the efforts of all of the GWU Mount Vernon Campus House Staff over $300 were raised!
If you're interested in planning an event supporting our Help the Homeless Campaign or if you just really want to hold a pie toss get in touch with Emily Flanagan, our Volunteer and Community Relations Coordinator at 202-503-1528 or emily@thrivedc.org.
