Therapeutic Services For Hurting People
Thrive DC seeks to provide a place of healing and help where clients can take their next step out of homelessness.
However, many clients are dealing with trauma and emotional barriers in their lives that prevent them from moving forward. To help them process their experience, Thrive DC provides several therapeutic and enrichment programs.
Music therapy provides an opportunity for clients to explore their creativity, practice healthy self-expression, discuss coping skills, and develop a support system. Group members do not have to be musically skilled to enjoy group and several different types of music groups are available.
- Songwriting (Mon. 11:00 AM*)
- Choir (Mon. 11:00 AM*)
- Jam Session (Tues. and Thurs. 11:00 AM)
- Women’s Music, Meditation, and Movement (Mon 2:00 PM*)
- Community Music Therapy for Women (Tues. 4:00 PM)
Our music therapist works with individuals to help them find the group that is right for them. If you would like to know more about our Music Therapy program, please contact Jael Patterson at [email protected].
