Thrive DC is proud to welcome the newest member of our staff to our family!
Eugenia is from Argentina, and is interning with Thrive DC as part of her program at school. She's immediately made a strong connection with our clients, and we're luck to have her!
I want to be able to pass on the power that art can have in someone's life.
Being able to express things that might be hard to put into words can have such a profound impact on someone's self-esteem.
I feel that art in general is such an important part of any community.
I heard about Thrive DC through the art therapy program at my school. It was on the top of my list as far as internship options because of the variety of programs offered.
The accessibility and genuine desire to help others that I see in all of the staff here at Thrive DC has definitely inspired me.
Just being able to hear some of the clients' stories have been amazing. On my second day of group I was thrilled to see one of the men I had spoken with earlier join us for group.
He seemed hesitant about coming because he didn't have any experience with art, but his openness to try it out led him to create something beautiful and he brought such a happy attitude that radiated throughout the group.
Having someone as a support to advocate for them and help them advocate for themselves.
I am passionate about art, music, cooking, and spending time with my family. As a mother myself, I am interested in helping other parents who may be struggling with issues such as economic difficulties and substance abuse.
Coffee:) and something sweet like chocolate chip pancakes.
I am originally from Argentina, and although I can't dance tango I can cook some tasty empanadas and flan.
